There will be no winners
As much as Russia is being portrayed as a totalitarian villain, their demands on Ukraine are as reasonable as it gets.
Imagine if Russia took control of Poland. Wouldn't we immediately launch a nuclear war? Obviously.
Poland is of existential importance to us Europeans.
Same thing with Ukraine, when it comes to Russia. Ukraine is of existential importance to Russia.
Why the western media is portraying the Russians as some evil lunatics, hellbent on starting a war, is beyond me.
We need to start using our brains again on this European continent.
Imagine if Russia integrated Canada into its military alliance and placed missiles and armoured brigades directly at the US northern borders, a breath away from Chicago, New York, Seattle, Boston...
It would immediately trigger a nuclear response by the US.
Russia might be a totalitarian kleptocracy and as corrupt as it gets..
BUT their stance and demands in Ukraine are reasonable and completely understandable.
Why we don't try to diplomatically de-escalate this crisis and why the US is trying to trigger a war in Ukraine is beyond me.
The truth will come out eventually.
I have the suspicion that it has to do with gas pipelines, Nord Stream 2 and who eventually will end up being the major energy supplier to the European economic powerhouse.
There is a theory floating around that the US military industrial complex is trying to start a war in Ukraine to sell weapons…
This is the most shortsighted and ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
Why risk nuclear war in Ukraine and start a war in your own backyard ( Europe) when you can ignite wars in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Africa… many more people to sell arms to,while running virtually no risk of nuclear war..In truth, Nobody cares about civilian casualties in 3rd world countries. They ( the western elite running our countries) act like we do, but honestly, they couldn't care less.. You can basically ignite the mother of all bloodbaths like the Yemen massacre, the Ethiopia or Congo conflicts or the Syrian war and barely anybody gives a f##k.
Why risk nuclear war in your own backyard, just to sell arms?
Why not supply the radical Arabs in Syria with expensive weapons and let them carve their skulls in, while the west runs zero risk of damage. Such conflicts can go on for decades, supplying arms dealers with a reliable stream of arms demand, while running no risk. ( let's leave terrorism aside for a minute, terrorism doesn't hurt the arms dealers or the elite. it hurts the “common” folks ).
So why is the US " deep state" ( for lack of a better term) hellbent on starting a war in Ukraine?
You tell me.
Time will tell.
Guess we will have to be patient and pray that this diplomatic disaster doesn't turn into a full-blown military conflict.
